These days it's easy to build a product. That's probably a good thing.

But there's something about the speed of execution that still doesn't sit right with me. Statements like "build fast without caring about quality, ship to customers and improve later" still create a lot of noise in my head.

I don't think quality is the enemy of speed like many say.

Though I won't deny it's something I constantly think about.

Projects

I'm a builder with a background that doesn't fit any specific label. I never know what to put as a headline on a resume when I've needed one.

I like to describe myself as a swiss army knife. An ocean of experience with 1cm of depth. And whenever someone asks "what are you good at?" I always answer the same thing... at crossing learning curves.

I learn my own way, but I learn fast.

There's no better way to learn, for me, than doing things I'm not yet qualified for.

I don't trust a farmer who isn't covered in mud. I don't trust a diver who's dry. Just like I don't trust builders who don't ship.

But hey, quality launches.

About Me

My name is Luis Zorrilla. I started in marketing, ended up learning to code, and now I'm getting familiar with AI.

Throughout that experience, which I successfully sum up in a single sentence, I've ALWAYS cared about making things with quality.

Obviously I mean quality as I understand it.

I've founded 4 startups and 2 traditional businesses.

If I can help you with something, don't hesitate to reach out lc@luiszorrilla.com
